The goal of this edition was to reintroduce the brand to a younger, more style-conscious audience through authentic storytelling and a refreshed visual approach. SOLUTION I led the art direction and team management throughout the project, overseeing creative development from concept to execution. This included directing photography, guiding visual tone and styling, presenting creative decks, creating the pre-pro deck and collaborating closely with our illustrator to shape ideas that would bring the stories to life. I also art directed on set to ensure every visual aligned with the campaign’s vision. The result was a unified, engaging editorial experience that highlighted each product through compelling, relatable narratives. RESULTA fully revitalized edition of the PC® Insider’s Report that felt contemporary and culturally attuned, featuring striking photography and cohesive storytelling. The campaign extended beyond the publication, with a nationwide in-store rollout that seamlessly complemented the magazine’s creative direction. and complicating the lookfeel, Cineplex was at a point where they needed to simplify and reign in the brand guidelines. A streamlined refresh was needed to take control of the brand's equity in the Canadian market, and so our team embarked on a weeks-long exploration into what the new Cineplex would look like. SOLUTION We identified several areas that needed refinement; the logo needed modularity and flexibility, the palette needed paring down, the font system needed to be clearly defined. Each subbrand within the Cineplex ecosystem was using a different style and it was clear that they all needed to come into alignment. RESULTA new fully fleshed out brand deck, equipped with a new font system, icons, illustration style, and everything else required to ensure the brand retained consistency and stayed true to it's iconic roots. venture into the novelty dessert shop, and my team's task was to explore what a trendy, Instagram-worthy brand for desserts would look like. SOLUTION From the ground up, I conceptualized and sketched the logo, sourced an illustrator, created brand guidelines, and worked with photographers and food stylists to craft a perfect social-media ready backdrop for this super-sweet brand. RESULTThe Melt branding project was a standout opportunity to work on a brand from the ground up with a ton of room for creative freedom. OBJECTIVE Playdium was a brand stuck in the '90s, with an outdated aesthetic. They required fresh photography, graphics, and patterns to rejuvenate their brand and appeal to the Gen-Z market. SOLUTION I contributed numerous handwritten illustrations and graphics to this project, which I love for their vibrancy and youthful qualities that really make the essence of the brand ethos comes to life. Additionally, I crafted the tagline, now prominently displayed on newly constructed Playdium buildings, as seen in the photo on the left. I also assisted in art direction for the campaign photography both in preparation (styling/wardrobe/scenarios) and on set for the combined video/photoshoot. RESULTThe brand exhibits a fun, cohesive aesthetic and energetic presence across all channels both in market and online. Since finalizing these elements, they have been incorporated into newly constructed Playdium buildings across the country, including two in Ontario and one in New Brunswick. Additionally, a fourth location is scheduled to open in Toronto soon. I concepted and proposed a motion video in which the lights would dim to show the glow-in-the-dark, but a simultaneous coffee pour would show off the colour-changing mug. On set, we required more than a few hands on deck to make sure we could pour coffee, cue the glow, dim the lights, and shift the camera all at once! RESULTA credit to this fun campaign, the video looks super smooth and most inventory was sold out before Halloween even came close! SOLUTION Taking the lead on execution and collaborating with the producer, our goal was to capture a series of authentic and intimate moments within the lounge. After meticulously storyboarding the scenes, we proceeded with casting, selecting wardrobe, and securing an appropriate photographer. During a single-day shoot, we successfully filmed four scenes simultaneously, featuring ten actors, in both video and motion. RESULTThe end result was a warm and inviting message that redefined the perception of the VIP lounge. The photographs transformed the space into a series of meaningful, intimate moments, and the advertisements were showcased both in print on the theatre exteriors and across digital platforms.
